Explorers of a bygone era moved into the North and attempted to colonize it. Those who had grown there claimed it as theirs, as inhospitable as it was, and the North became the land of Barbarians. Over time, lines were drawn from the Barbarians. Some staked out land and remained there, close to Donias but out of reach of other Humans. Others moved so far North it was impossible to follow. Others still wandered the wastes, patrolling and hunting as if it were theirs by right, and the last group took to the sea. Those were the lines drawn between the tribes up in Bagonia.<br>
			Eventually, though, the Empire of Man sought to take the North, which the Barbarians were not willing to simply let go. The Empire sent its slaves to defeat the unruly Barbarians, figuring their superior training and weapons would make them the best at whittling down the disparate tribes up North. Unfortunately for them, most of the Imperial slaves were also from proud warrior people, and found more kinship to the free-roaming Drogos to the North and the Plainsmen. A whole regiment of Imperial soldiers defected, bolstering the power of the Drogos and making them one of the fiercest fighting forces in the North.<br>
			For many years, the Barbarians continued to propagate, making the best of a hard life, and proud of it. The Mariners became known as the scourge of the seas, raiding trade ships, nautical villages and pirates indiscriminately. They were the main reason no fleet ever attempted to sail up North. The Cromians staked the deepest, coldest North and thrived there, making many villages and forts to hold off invaders and Orcs. The Plainsmen guarded their lands and bewared the white man from the South, keeping their culture and mastering tracking and hunting. And the Drogos were the Barbarians everyone spoke of. Raiding, heavily armed, strong and noble savages. The Humans of Bagonia were known as Barbarians, but to them, those of Donias and Rafisto could hardly ever be called 'Men'.<br>

These are the pillaging, wandering barbarians civilized people fear. They follow a code of strength and loyalty, with their personal honor and the bonds of being Drogos held in the highest regard. 			*'''Mariners''': Raiders and pillagers, the Mariners have taken to the sea. They act as pirates, invaders, raiders and generally upset any seafarers or even other pirates. Living on the frozen seas of Bagonia, the Mariners (the name was given to them, and they took it), have a remarkable fleet, despite not having the weapons to wage sea battle, they are the most competent sailors and explorers. Many other races and people have encountered the Mariners' Drakkars and were taken down by their fierceness and brutality. ''Based on Vikings.''
			*'''Cromians''': Established villages and communities, the Cromians live far in the frozen north, and have made their life as hunters and gatherers. The beasts of the wastes are what the Cromians live off of. They are fiercely independent, and over the years have fought off [[Ogres]], [[Keishig\|Orcs]], and the Drogos, repeatedly. The loose assembly of villages have some agreement with each other, despite their conflict for resources, in that they share in their kills and men to fight off the attackers. The Cromians are, arguably, the most powerful force of the Barbarians, but are not usually quick to assemble unless threatened. ''Traditional Barbarians.''
			*'''Plainsmen''': Living in the southern parts of Bagonia, the Plainsmen are the opposite, but very similar to the Cromians. They are far more spiritual and live in harmony with nature, but theirs is a more fruitful bounty. They have mastered types of agriculture other Barbarians have not, and as such, appear to be the most prosperous. However, they are the ones who are the most constantly under attack from Doniasians and the Drogos, and they, unlike Cromians, do not get along as well. They will unite against a force, but will rapidly go back to their own peoples otherwise. ''Based on Native Americans''
