			As a youth, Kazuki was to be brought up into the Makai Priesthood. His father trained him from a very young age and he learned the basics. However one night his home was attacked by a Horror. He witnessed his mother die as the Horror eviscerated her in a gruesome manner. Kazuki's father arrived home just in time to defeat the demon before it could attack Kazuki. He felt so helpless. From that day forward, her decided he wanted to become a knight, to protect those who could not protect themselves. While his father urged him to continue training as a priest, Kazuki wanted more, he wanted to be able to instantly help people without the need for incantations. He wanted to fight. His father then trained him in a much more harsh manner, hoping the severity of the training would make him shy away and revert to priest training. Instead, he persevered, and much to his chagrin, enrolled him into knight training. Kazuki learned quickly and was one of the top students thanks to his prior training and burning passion. <br>

			During his time training, he also had considerable contact with Tatsuya and Riki, who were his classmates, but because of their inheritances, were much higher in the pecking order. He did not begrudge them as Kazuki was not out for fame or rank, just the power to protect and help. He made friends with them, and during the time of Riki and Tatsuya's rivalry was sometimes the middleman.<br>

			He was awarded his weapon and title of "Zen, the Flame Sword Knight" upon completion of the program. His father, however, perished in the line of duty as well. He carries his father's Makai brush with him, and knows a basic repel/projectile spell and shield spell.

'''Geas''' (3pts): If Kazuki disobeys direct orders from the Watchdogs, disciplinary actions could potentially include his powers being sealed temporarily or indefinitely and/or other Makai Knights being instructed to capture or kill him. However the Watchdogs are, or were, mortal beings as well, and can be reasoned with or corrupted. Luckily direct orders rarely every come down in a form other than what horrors he needs to kill. 

'''Time Limit''': Can only wear his armor for 99.9 seconds. Even he will be burned by the soul metal after that time. There is also a very good chance of the armor taking him over and his emotions spiraling out of control, turning him into a berserker if he exceeds this time limit, turning them monstrous and makign them lash out at anything around them until the armor eats him alive. Only ONE Makai Knight has EVER exceeded the time limit, went berserk, and managed to recover; Tatsuya's father, and only once.
