Appearance

Generally seen in her State Alchemist Uniform, with Captain markings on the shoulders. She has some tone and muscle to her but that comes with the military life. Her casual wear would likely be a suit of some sort, Maybe vest dress pants and so on. Tee shirt and slacks when, really she doesn't plan on going outside. Nothing all that special, though she always has her gloves on and her pistol strapped under her left arm when out of uniform. She has blonde hair, which is usually kept in a bob cut, though she has been seen wearing in a short pony tail when her hair gets a little long.

Personality

Quiet, and seemingly calm. But in truth she just feels she has nothing to say ...She will how ever get sassy with you. She also happens to have a short temper. She is however, fiercely loyal to those she considers good friends.

Background

Although she is Amestrian, She was born in Ishval during her parents time there helping rebuild the country, raised there till she was 17. While there, she studied the basics of Alchemy, as well as learned a number of things from her parents. She had asked if she could learn her fathers alchemy. Originally, he has outright refused,saying it was a senseless tool of destruction, but through Sheska's persistence Her father, Roy, posed a challenge for her. "Prove to me fire is more then just a weapon, and I will be glad to teach it to you." It wouldn't be long after that she would prove herself to her father. Even working has a blacksmith to prove her point in her late teens. Once she hit the age of 17, she shipped out for Amestria, Heading to Central City to become a State Alchemist. Ultimately she would Pass her exams, and then immediately after be put in the stockades for what she and another did during the tests. She would get in a rather bad scuffle with a fellow applicant, Wilhelmina Ellowyn Armstrong. The fierce battle would ensue, Alchemical attacks being flung back and forth between the two of then in a rather spectacular struggle of power. And after the smoke cleared, The two applicants, bloody and beaten would go to charge in for a second round, only to be cut short by the Fuhrer clapping for their efforts and saying they'd done quite enough. They earned Not only there titles as state alchemists but there first trip to the stockades for there infighting. This, however, did not turn out as bad as some would have expected. With nothing else to do, The two hand started talking to each other and getting to know one another. By the time they where let out of the stockades they walked out practically arm in arm. Part of their punishment (and capitalizing on their being so friendly upon release from then stockades) would be being sent on a tour of duty with the Ishvalan Reconstruction. Which really didn't bother Sheska at all, in fact this is what she wanted. Two years would pass there, Sheska would either find her self working forges or out in the farmlands, doing what she can to help with the reconstruction. In Sheska's mind this was time well spend. Her first tour of duty and getting to actively work to make a difference in the world would fill her with much pride. Once back at Central, she would enroll in a number of extra curricular training, before getting shipped right back out again, to Drachma to help with some of the skirmishes. While serving there, both her and Wilhelmina would become well known names in the Military, Often sent in on foot with Brigg's Armored divisions. She was used as rather mobile artillery, Not only with her Flame Alchemy, but her knack with creating mortars, howitzers, and other various cannons, allowing her to support the Amestrian forces for some distance. Over the years she would display her short temper in a number of fights with not only Wilhelmina but other State Alchemists, Because of this, she had a hard time moving up the ranks. Her current rank in the military is Captain.

Special Abilities

Firearms Training: Thanks to the rigors of military life, she is at home with most standard firearms.

Sniper Training: Again through the State Military, and her mother, she has learned to become a crack shot.

Artillery Training: She has the knowledge to use Armored and unarmored Artillery pieces, things like mortars to howitzers.

Basic CQC Training: Pretty much what it sounds like, she knows some basic forms of hand to hand combat. Isn't a Martial Artist but she can hold her own.

Alchemy: She has the ability to transmute one object into another using the laws of Equivalent Exchange and Transmutation Circles. Like her father she carries her transmutation glove which allows for quick access to a transmutation circle since it is on the back of the gloves. She will also carry various materials such as gunpowder, oil or other flammable items for a much bigger effect. for complex or multiple items in one go she still needs to draw the circle however as this are much more complicated transmutations.

Powers & Merits

Green Thumb (1): Not only do plants thrive in your care, they almost seem to burst into bloom from your touch.

Concentration (1): You are very good at focusing, and suffer no penalty for distractions, stress or having to repeat yourself often.

Time Sense (1): You have an innate sense of time, and can with a good deal of accuracy tell what time it is without a watch. In performing feats where timing may be essential (such as certain combat or athletic maneuvers), difficulties may be lowered or dropped.

Light Sleeper (1): You can function on very little sleep, and so are less likely to suffer penalties for losing sleep. You are also more likely to awaken quickly, and so may not get caught blindsided about something that may wake you up.

Loyalty (1):(Wilhelmina) You are devoted to a person, group, or cause, and easily resist attempts to persuade you away from the object of your loyalty. Any attempts to make you betray this person/cause/whatever is done with an opposed roll where you get a +2 bonus. Again, like the code of honor, you must always be loyal to this person or risk losing this benefit.

Iron Will (5): You cannot be mind-controlled easily, and getting you to surrender is borderline impossible. When magical (or other) mind-control is attempted on you, both roll and you get a +3 bonus to your roll. It's possible to do it, but you'll fight it with every fiber of your being, and will not stay in thrall very long.

Unique Items

"Modified" Service Pistol: Originally her mothers, this pistol was faded out of duty over the years for new equipment. Given to her as a gift, it is her pride and joy...even if it is rather annoying to order parts for. She has had the gun slightly modified with Transmutation circles on the grips of the gun, allowing her access to some interesting powers. The original weapon was also known as a "Break-Top Revolver" The service pistol is a top-break revolver with automatic extraction. That is, breaking the revolver open for reloading also operates the extractor. This removes the spent cartridges from the cylinder. Fires the large .455 cartridge. Six round cylinder, Double action revolver.

Flame Transmutation Glove: Made of "pyrotex/ignition cloth" and embroidered with unique flame alchemy Transmutation Circles, these gloves create a spark when She rubs her fingers together and allow her to manipulate the concentration of oxygen in the air surrounding her target, raising its density to a level at which it becomes a volatile and flammable oxidizer, and creating narrow pathways of oxygen through which she can direct the ensuing flame that blossoms from the spark. The 'snap' sound is caused by the instantaneous speed at which the highly concentrated gases and sparks react together and pop (not her fingers actually 'snapping', to common belief.)

Simple Transmutation Glove: Much like her other glove, this one allows for simple transmutations, swords, cannons, walls, shields, bridges, so one, nothing overly complex. Just allows quick casting due to the ready Transmutation circle on the back of it. All this is in the end is a premade Transmutation circle.

State Alchemist Watch:The State Alchemist badge of office, a silver watch with the official seal embossed on the surface, on a durable, extendable chain. Rumor has it that the watch can enhance alchemic powers, but the state of course denies this and claims it's just a result of the talent of their alchemists.

AATR-41 (PTRS-41 is it's equvilent): Amestrian Anti Tank rifle Mk 41 was produced and used by the The State Military. Given to soldiers who did not have a means to fight of heavily armored vehicles. The State military began experimenting with different types of armor-piercing anti-tank cartridges. Finding the 12.7×108mm insufficient, they began development of what would become the 14.5×114mm armor piercing round.The five round magazine was loaded into the receiver and held under pressure by a swing magazine underneath. On firing the last round, the bolt is held open, and the magazine release catch can only be operated when the bolt is locked back.The 14.5 mm Armor-piercing bullet has a muzzle velocity of 1013 m/s and devastating ballistics. It can penetrate an armor plate up to 40 mm thick at a distance of 100 meters.

Weaknesses & Flaws

Conditional Magic (3)': Requires Transmutation circle, raw materials for her Alchemy, clear knowledge of the shape, composition and other physical properties of the items she seeks to create. Though she can do some quick and basic Transmutations with her gloves, for anything complex, or with moving parts she will still need to draw a Transmutation circle.

Compulsive Speech (2): Dat sass

Water: Just like her dad, if she is soaked or if it is raining her fire Alchemy is pretty much 'useless'.
