Appearance
Youji is a fit, lean man with shaggy, dark blue hair and dark green eyes. He wears business suits, but isn't the best at pressing or creasing them, so looks somewhat disheveled most of the time.
Personality
Lazy, reluctant, easy-going, easy to amuse, laissez-faire.
Background
Youji Aizawa's family was well-off and well-connected, prominent in the public, until everything came out into the open; his father's financial crimes, his mother's affairs to conceal them, his own bastard existence. Getting into college was nearly impossible with both of his parents incarcerated and both of their families ostracizing them and him by extension. With no one to turn to, Youji was left destitute, barely scraping by with multiple part-time jobs that left him exhausted, quickly burning the candle on both ends, including falling behind in school and earning academic probation.
Like so many others in his situation, he turned to self-harm and suicide... but it didn't take. He failed at that, too, somehow, and as he laid face-down in the tide on the beach, barely clinging to life, the Publicity Devil found him again, the thing he was most terrified of. Rather than let him die, the Publicity Devil wanted to prey on his terror. With so much of popular culture dominated by celebrity status and people wanting to shamelessly seek the spotlight, the Publicity Devil had grown weaker over the years and needed the fear Youji held for it to sustain himself and help it remind others why the public eye isn't for everyone.
In exchange for Youji's delicious paranoia, the Publicity Devil struck a contract with him; the Publicity Devil would give him the opportunity to join the lucrative work of Devil hunting and get his life out of the gutter, so long as Youji helped grow the public's fear of its own spotlight, in exchange for Youji's own personal identity. "Youji Aizawa" would only exist as a nameless body; he would never grow to a rank or status of prominence, he would never be able to marry, graduate, or serve any function in society that requires an identity on paper. Internet search results don't identify him, he doesn't have a driver's license, his places of employment don't have records of him, he can't have a bank account... the Publicity Devil will erase all records of him. Even word-of-mouth will divert attention, credit, and praise to someone else.
Youji accepted the Devil's bargain, since it would let him live a more normal life... and since the Publicity Devil wouldn't let him just die. With the contract and a portion of the Publicity Devil's power in hand, he joined the Public Safety division (not on paper, of course) to become a Devil hunter, finally getting a stable place to live (under someone else's name) and a job, despite how easily he could lose it at any moment.

Unique Items
The Public Eye - The Publicity Devil's staff. It has an ever-present, wide-open, lidless, fire-wrapped eyeball at the top of it. It is formed out of Youji's intestines, meaning it wriggles and squirms slightly in his grip despite maintaining its shape.
- Bleeding Lead - When empowered by the Publicity Devil's power, Youji can regenerate his health and stamina by consuming the flesh and blood of another self-aware creature, living or dead. It must be raw and fresh.
- Bonebreaking Developments - The Public Eye is a dangerous, sturdy weapon despite its grotesque appearance, allowing it to inflict debilitating injuries when combined with enhanced strength.
- Intense Scrutiny - Youji can use the Publicity Devil's staff to create a beam-like projection of Hellfire. The larger the projection, the more strength this saps from Youji.
- Vanity Fair - The stare of the Publicity Devil's staff can wither a target's self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image, making their physical flaws more prominent and weaken their resolve. This is considered a mental technique.
- Dirty Little Lies - The whispers of the Publicity Devil can pass through the staff like a host's microphone. This typically will target lesser creatures or the weak-minded, convincing them to surrender, suicide, or switch sides against their previous allegiance.
- Spectacle - The Publicity Devil's staff can project visual and audible illusions within its line of sight, able to protray people, objects, or scenarios to serve as a distraction. These projections will disappear when interacted with. Also great for impressions.
- Continuous Coverage - The stare of the Publicity Devil's staff can prolong and enhance physical and spiritual pain and agony, turning minor wounds into egregious, protracted torture. This can be used for sadistic or interrogative purposes.

Weaknesses & Flaws
- Slow Healing (3): Youji heals slowly due to his contract with the Publicity Devil. He will only heal normally when he is provided the blood of another living creature. The more powerful the creature, the more swiftly he will recover.
- 'Bound (5): Youji is contracted to the Publicity Devil on pain of death. If he fails to uphold his part of the bargain, the Publicity Devil will consume him... or worse.
- Low Self-Image (2): The Publicity Devil reminds Youji constantly that he is nobody. Any social rolls (where he needs to be assertive or sure of himself) have a -2 penalty.
- The Invisible Man: Natsuo's identity exists only in person. He does not appear in databases, he does not receive accolades, he has no recognizable identity on paper. Any attempts to publicly celebrate his accomplishments will automatically divert to someone else, giving them the credit. Any attempts to enter him into a database will meet with error or get erased immediately.
